Still waiting on the DX12 update for Just Cause 3 and Ark as well.
just cause 3 was said to be getting one? Not sure about ark but we've seen dx12 warhammer so thats more solid. If the devs dont deliver on a clear promise then its not going to go well
They say a little after release. 1-2 months is not a little after release especially since they have it running already. The doom guys havent released theirs yet for vulkan afaik tho so probably 1-3 weeks.
It will be coming out at a later date - as soon as we know a release date we will announce it!

AMD is really eager to get those benches out there, understandable as The DX11 perf isn't anything to write home about .
Still 64% improvement in a CPU bound game is nothing to scoff at
Yup it's pretty disappointing when folks turn it into Gameworks vs. Gaming Evolved argument. This is exactly the sort of game where these low level API's are called for. It should be celebrated instead of being downplayed and turning it into yet another Nvidia vs AMD shitfest.
If Nvidia can't properly support an API they've been involved in for 6 years they should just come out and say it instead of putting up smoke screens.
nvidia game to release a dx12 path? sureStill waiting on the DX12 update for Just Cause 3 and Ark as well.

doom and gloom is because 1 company is very good at the new dx and the other one will be good at it maybe 1 or 2 years from now.I hear you. This doom and gloom attitude about DX12 is absurd. As if the first DX11 games were perfect implementations. And for people with weaker hardware DX12 is already proving to be a big improvement. The potential for DX12 is immense, but apparently we should ignore all that because agendas need to be pushed.
Should've just stuck with DX9.0c.
and instead that doom and gloom to be on the company that posted thisdoom and gloom is because 1 company is very good at the new dx and the other one will be good at it maybe 1 or 2 years from now.
http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/dx12/windows-10NVIDIA has been working with Microsoft for years developing DirectX 12, with key hardware support being designed into all Maxwell, Kepler, and Fermi GPU architectures to maximize functionality and performance. DirectX 12 provides game developers with unprecedented low-level access to hardware resources allowing them to truly tailor their games to GeForce GPU architectures and fully take advantage of their features.
It seems because everyone was bickering, nobody noticed that the reddit thread claims that TW WH will have Explicit Multi Adapter support in DX12. This is fairly momentous...

Kitguru backs that up: http://www.kitguru.net/gaming/matth...and-amd-team-up-for-total-war-warhammer-dx12/.
Explicit multiGPU is probably one of the best features of DirectX 12 and AMD is showing it off here with a pair of its Radeon R9 390 graphics cards. 75 percent scaling is not a bad result. We dont have a way to verify these numbers and good multiGPU scaling has traditionally been broken by frame pacing issues. Well have to wait to see if CrossFire configurations are a genuinely good user experience in Warhammer.
Some benches AMD are publishing
Well, they were slightly behind, now slightly ahead by the looks of it.That's not exactly showing a big DX12 win for AMD. Specially considering the memory bandwidth part and resolutions.

Yeah, as I posted earlier it seems that AMD is slightly behind in DX11 and slightly ahead in DX12. So nvidia is optimized for 99.9% of the games on the while AMD seems to have a lead in DX12 titles. It might be a bright future for AMD, but once DX12 is the major API I'm pretty sure that nvidia will have hardware/drivers which can match AMD.
Game still doesn't have Dx12 iirc. wait for it and then you can blame amd as always. The point is that a game like Warhammer, despite being a Gaming Evolved title with AMD engineers working directly on the game. Isnt showing anything like what AOTS does. The "AMD rules DX12" dream is simply collapsing as we see with Forza too.
