PDA/GPS!!

Are PDA/GPS units worth it?? is so, which product do you recommend?? I was looking at the Garmin M3, $250, the M5 is $575. What do you guys think!!

Honestly I didn't care for mine. I used an old Dell Axim and PocketMap Navigator software with a CF GPS card. It was sometimes slow, locked up, etc. If you want GPS, I'd suggest just going with a dedicated solution like a Garmin Nuvi 350, 360, or 660. One of my computer sayings is, "Dedicated hardware always works better."

Do you NEED a PDA? If not, just get a dedicated GPS unit. You can find them for as low as $200.00 nowdays

no the PDA GPS........... I would get a dedicated GPS for sure.

I have an MDA phone that runs Windows Mobile and I run TomTom on it with a BT GPS unit. Works great. Car windscreen mount and charger = no problems

Slick interface that works well.

My PDA + pharos GPA has been flawless so far, as good as any in car unit I've ever seen.

Plus, you can use the PDA by itself, carry it around, etc..

I added a 2gb SD card to put MP3s on there, and connect it to my head unit for MP3 use.

What type of PDA do you have? Make/Model?
Is it the actual Pharos PDA?
