This will be my first build, and I have a really basic MB ?, but I'd feel really stupid if I assumed incorrectly and got burned when it came. I'm looking at the Asus P4PE board, and will be sticking a 2.53 proc on it along with a few other things, but because of budget and indecision, I'm going to hold off on a video card.
1) Does the PE Chipset, specifically the P4PE have ANY form of onboard video that will support an OS and various programs until I buy a video card? I'm assuming it does, but I've heard that some boards need the full support of a video card to be able to show ANY image. Will this work until I buy a vid card, or do I need something with the GE chipset?
2) I'm not a hardcore gamer, and PROBABLY won't oc this thing...I've read a lot of people touting the BH7 or possibly the albatron. am I going overkill with the p4pe? It's only about a $20 difference.
