It's not funny. The material they're using is so out of date that it's not even relative. They're printing comics from 1973. I say they remove it, and replace it with something better.

(in my crappy newspaper's case, I want it replaced with Foxtrot)

NO! That's a big NEGATIVE there, SpaceRanger! Peanuts needs to stay. Yes, the material is out-of-date, but it's still relevant and funny. I'd miss it a lot if it got yanked.

I also miss Calvin & Hobbs. I wonder why they don't run reruns of C&H? me\<---misses Calvin & Hobbs.

Actually, there was a piece on Peanuts and Charles Schulz recently in People or some mag. my wife gets...........according to that article and a poll inside, Peanuts is still the #1 read comic strip in most of the U.S. and in the top 5 worldwide...................

Personally, I haven't read or looked at a comic section of any paper in years though................just saw this thread and remember reading the article...........

any of you people read the boondocks? that's one funny comic strip. foxtrot and sherman's lagoon are also funny. monty is good; very wierd at times, but funny.

Actaully, the absolute worst comic strip is Camily Circus, but Mamaduke si pretty bad, too.

Peanuts was acceptable, if not good, but it's stupid to reprint old strips.

Oh, and boondocks has been great the past couple days with the GTA3 thing

Actually, in addition to being funny, Calvin and Hobbes can also be considered (and was intended to be by Watterson) a "Window into life"-ish kind of comic as well. But Peanuts still blows.
