Based on what I have read on foxnews, cnn, and garnered from movies with special ops, I would say that the countries you mentioned, though less so with Israel, have equal technology in a few areas but for the most part wane severely behind. Maybe they can compete on some missiles or some helicopters or something else, but taken as a whole from how the average troop is outfitted, to his vehicles, to communications equipment, etc. those ones don't come close. I would guess Britain is one of the closest tech-wise and probably is more similar than not, although it's obviously a lot smaller and its carriers are only half-carriers, really.Originally posted by: Chaotic42

Well, maybe not as an entire package, but I would consider Israel, Russia, and China to be close to us in some ways.
-Israel has Python 4/5 missiles and will have F-35s soon.
-China has God-knows what including the J-10
-Russia was working on the MIG 1.44 project, and I'm sure that technology is somewhere.
I would consider those three close to us in some aspects of military technology.
He has a legacy in kids, though. Also, hopefully some other egotistical maniac at the last minute would put a bullet in him and say now I rule the roost and I don't want to start a war.If you were a egotistical maniac on your death bed, what better way to go out then with a bang.
