One more letter like this from Penn State and they should indeed hold a press conference saying that they will drop all sanctions against Penn State.

Followed by announcing a 10 year NCAA football ban.

A) The former players have absolutely no standing to file an appeal.
B) The Freeh report was Penn State's own report. It was, in effect, a self-report of wrongdoing. The school can't self-report and then say the self-report was factually incorrect.
C) The allegation that Penn State was denied due process because there was no Infractions Committee activity is wrong; the Infractions Committee is only potentially required when the NCAA is not at the annual meeting. Emmert was granted annual meeting powers by the member institutions.

Anyway, the Freeh report is piece of garbage. The obvious bias, lack of supporting facts and one sided personal opinion as finding is laughable. Not surprised that there are people who really knows the program, really knows the school, and really knows the people involved would be upset and willing to stand up, speak up, spend the money to get the truth out.
