The simple fact is that plenty of people are now going to make this connection when they hear the name Penn State, or especially when they hear the name Joe Paterno. Not a damn thing the family will ever be able to do about that, other than keep reminding people about it. good for them.
Only difference is that Paterno the pedo-enabler only crossed my mind in direct reference to PSU or PSU football (and to be fair, I tend to keep this separate from the University...but not so much that I won't let a jab pass by from time to time--if you have a problem with that, well, I really don't care).
