Pentium D 805 HSF Recoomendation Needed!

Hi everyone, I have been out of the tech-loop for a long time now.
I just upgradedfrom an Athlon 900 to Pentium D805 (wow!).

However, the Intel Stock HSF is inadequate to cool this dual core monster.
I need some Good-price/good performance HSF recommendation.

I notice Anand himself used the Tuniq Tower 120 to cool the Core2Duo review,
but I can't seem to find anyone who carrys it - Newegg doesn't have it.

What are some of the best alterative?

Who cares? The Scythe Ninja is at least as good, and is now selling for $35, now that it comes with a fan: Ninja @ newegg

Yep, go with the scythe ninja, I'm using it with my 805. 55c load at 3.6ghz.

The ninja is pretty damn good, actually.

Are there any great programs that can display the temperature guage of the CPU?
Looking for something like a TASK MANAGER that can remain on top of applications

Did you check your motherboard CD? Asus at least ships their PC Probe with their motherboards.

Thermalright Ultra-120 gets my vote. With E6300 OC'ed to 2.94GHz, the delta between idle and load (dual Prime95) is less than 15C.

Oh and it's damn easy to mount. No need to take motherboard out. It takes less than 2 mins. (literally)

Don't negelect the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. It's been used by people pulling in 50/60% overclocks with conroes, so it should be pretty decent. Idle temp wasn't much above the normal with the stock HSF when oc'd with the Freezer 7 Pro.

i'm a big fan of zalman coolers. i have a CNPS 7700-AlCu and I love it, i've also heard great things about the newer CNPS 8000 and 9500 as well. they usually have great performance and are very quiet.

I agree with everyone else with the Ninja for the $30-$40 price range
If you're looking for cheaper the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro can be had between $20-$30, offering comparable performance at the cost of noise level.

The newer zalman products just don't offer the same bang for the buck as these two products IMO.
