I didn;t run that exact test, but my 820 @3.5 vs X2@2550 let me deduce it would take ~4.5 to beat the X2@2550 in the tests I ran. The Pressler core is the same, but @65nm, so I didn;t think there was anything to be excited about. I will be glad to run any tests I can with either of those systems against a 9xx@4 ghz.
but looking at AT's latest benchmarks i would say a 920 D at 4Ghz will pass everything in the gaming arena, or at least come very close...looking at the latest AT benchmarks the 820 at stock speeds even is extremely competetive in 2 of the three gaming benchmarks...http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2668&p=8
it just depends how much of a boost hyperthreading gives the EEs, and iirc it wasn't that much in most cases...so i would say if the 920 scaled according to that data it would be posting some serious scores in those games at 4Ghz plus...
