Can I slap this into an Abit BE-6 motherboasd (slot-A with a Slotkey adapter)?

It can do up to 8x FSB multiplier and up to 150mhz (including 133) FSB.

Advice, please.....

I am looking for a new CPU. For overclockers, isn't the best bet to get a CPU with FSB of 100Mhz so you can crank it to 133Mhz? Anybody have any recommendations?

keep in mind it is an OEM chip, not a retail package.
90 days warranty vs 3 years manufacturer's.
also OEM means no heatsink/fan combo included, bare chip only versus retail having a heatsink/fan combo included. look in www.pricewatch.com and other places for pricing variables

it's an ok price.
Alesmith: it will not go to 8X, it's a multiplier locked chip locked @ 6.5x if you crank the FSB up to 150 you'll get to 975mhz.
good luck trying to do that though.
sygyzy: get a P3-700, it should do about 900mhz with aircooling and better with better cooling. i've got a 700 up to about 900 with a GORB, above that, errors
check out Overclockers.com and select cpu database, keeping in mind that some of the higher numbers are prolly BS.

I wanted to use this with an Intel D815EEA board. Is it possible to overclock using this board?
I understand that this board does not have jumpers/BIOS settings which may make it difficult.

Don't even think about OC an Intel board. But what you sacrifice in OC ability you pick up in stability and compatibility,
and at these new Intel CPU prices, rock on. No fear. I just put together a 1 Ghz sys with 256 Micron, CaseEdge box and a 15g 100ata, Samsung DVD, Sony floppy, Microsoft Internet KB, Microsoft Optical mouse, based on the Intel board (815EEAL)
for $685. (no OS) (hard to believe)
What a great sys to build on.
