Anyone paying attention knew he regretted this whole thing within a week of his inauguration. The guy has never had to work so hard in his pathetic life. He is putting in a fraction of the effort that any previous President ever did. Maybe Bush put in less effort, but his delegates knew how to work in the system at least. Maybe Reagan, too but I wasn't paying attention back then...

Coolidge quite literally campaigned on not doing much. Other than that, though...

Guy is 70, fat, doesnt sleep and has the most stressful job on the planet. The dude is not super stupid, he can read the cards. Given his comments in the past I am willing to bet that he is on HRT too further stressing his cardiac condition. Point being Trump has got a limited amount of fucks left and given his narcissistic nature he will want to use them. Hell yea he is looking for a way out, I suspect he has been from day one.
I don't think that he wants a way out as much as he wants to do his own thing without anyone looking over his shoulder. When he ran his empire he controlled everything and now there are checks and balances to keep him under control.

I think he realizes that he has limited time left on the planet and not even be screwing his own trophy wife. But yea I agree on your assessment, he is annoyed that the rules apply to him too, he is obv. used to bending/circumventing them in his day job.

These threads are a constant source of entertainment. But it is good to see the progression through the stages of grief.

Just as we shouldn't be certain he'll resign, you shouldn't be so sure that he'll make it through his full term.

I'm just saying that I have heard that people are saying Trump wants out. Some of them are very smart people and they are saying he is looking for a way out.

You sir have provided a genuine reflection of our sentiment.

Has anyone ever resigned the presidency because they were crap at it before?
(Not counting Nixon as he was more pushed than jumped)

Not sure, certainly not recently. I think there have been one or two due to health reasons but that was 200+ years ago. Even then I'm not sure.

I wonder if he'll use the poor health excuse.

Doubt it he allegedly asked his Doctor to give a tremendous health check. Presidential candidates traditionally release a health over view from their Doctors.
If I were to be it will be similar to Nixon he'll let the heat build up then resign and spend the rest of his life talking about the fake news and crooked media made stuff up.

I understand exactly what you've said. There is no need to clarify your intent. I am commenting on the continuous grasping at the straws of hope in their various forms. First it's this, then that, then those, then these. The brighter among you understand that the agenda is to keep the administration too busy to accomplish anything. Few among that group are paying enough attention to know that they are accomplishing plenty.

Those outside of the group without the intelligence to understand the long game actually think that Trumps end is near. Fortunately looking like an imbecile is not a crime. Being led around by the nose by a corrupt media isn't either.

A snapshot of the first page of P&N at any given time will typically show anywhere from six to ten threads of the latest 'sure thing' along with the zombie causes du jour that will not die.

Trump is going to jail
Trump is going to be indicted
Spicer is getting the ax
Sessions is getting the ax
Bannon is getting the ax
_____________ is getting the ax
and so on...

But they are starting to taper off which is the basis of my praise for the progress through the stages of grief.

I was one of many that lamented with great regularity about 0bama. I get it. But this false hope that Trump has one foot on a banana peel and the floor is slippery is making many of you look way beyond foolish. But that works to my favor. Why do I say that? A good question to ask oneself.

The dem's need to grit their teeth through Trumps tenure and then bullshit their way back into power. Then they can turn on a dime and the march towards Marxism can be picked back up and just might be successful as long as there are enough nations willing to lend us the money to fund it.

It's not Trump you hate. It's the loss of the progress made not towards anything worthwhile but what the left has been taught is worthwhile. It's the 1000 plus seats lost in elections throughout the country and along with them the influence and power needed to achieve the utopian goal. It's the large scale dismissal of the rosy socialistic picture painted by people who would benefit the most from the upheaval of the system. They have you convinced they're your friends. You're pawns. Useful idiots.

Oh, and repeatedly calling people idiots whose party won elections from sea to shining sea makes one look like they're being manipulated. Which is exactly the case.

Get rid of Trump and you get Pence, get rid of Pence and you get Ryan and so on and so forth. Trump isn't going to satisfy you because it's not really Trump you want.

Be honest with yourselves and be happier for his tenure. Or, continue on and seal your fate. Capitalism has worked and continues to work very well for me. It does for you too if you want to be honest with yourself. Give it a try. Start questioning what you've been taught and be amazed at the results. Work within the system and prosper, work against it and at the very least be very unhappy far too much of the time. Understand that the goals of socialism lead to Venezuela in our times and that in the past, it led to millions of deaths. There are no "right people" to orchestrate it. It just plain sucks.

There will always be poor people. There will always be rich people. What system you live under determines how many of each their are. Here, we have few poor and few rich. Few rich and the rest equally poor doesn't sound so good to me. Fortunately we've curtailed that fate - for now.

check out the moment starting at about 5 min. 12 sec. into the video

Trump should announce he has some ugly disease or syndrome, which would help explain much of the erratic behavior and perhaps garner some sympathy and use this as his exit strategy. He might be able to save a little face too not that I care but his ego no doubt will require it.

Or he could just announce he's the antichrist.

What's funny is that has always been good enough for boomer when the subject was Hilary now that people talk about Trump he just goes straight to denial.
