This is true but you fail to realize that the kind of folk who can enjoy themselves anywhere don't go to bars. Everywhere I go, I'm there.

I can enjoy myself anywhere and I still go to bars. For some reason you have this mentality that you're better than those who go to bars simply because you don't like bars.

What planet are you people from?

"Going to a bar" is not synonymous with the hammer smashed shit faced extravaganza that is a college bar. Going out for dinner and/or drinks with friends is a completely normal social event, and where do you do that? Often times the place where you can get drinks is...a bar!

I don't even go to bars that often. And when I do, I look around and see mostly normal people of multiple age groups. A lot of them are working class, which I guess makes them losers to begin with?

People who think "going to a bar" is synonymous with getting smashed at a night club are those who avoid bars entirely because they're anti social in those settings. Because they can't have fun in those settings, they call those people losers.

No, people in those situations don't have an important job to wake up for in the morning, or have to worry about getting up to make kids breakfast or take them to football practice or mow the lawn or any other real responsibilities.

Like I said, once in a while is fine. If you build a lifestyle around niteclubs and bars, there's something wrong.

My view of this is one sided, so what does ATOT think? Are people who are in their 30's that still go to the bar or nightclubs every week losers?

Believe it or not, most people in bars and pubs are there so socialize and relax with friends and family and aren't looking to get completely hammered or go home with someone they just met.

It sounds like you have only been to drunk college bars or gutter trash night clubs.

My wife and I go to the VFW a couple nights a week and hang out with all of those 60+ year old losers who spent time in Vietnam or Korea. Bunch of losers.

My VFW doesnt have a bar. 99% of the problems come from those chapters.

I didn't know that going to bars means you have no responsibility. I'm sure they do have responsibilities which is why they go to bars on weekends cus they are busy during the week. Just because someone chose to not have kids doesn't make them any less responsible. Kids should not be the only reason why a grown-up has any responsibilities.

yet you are still posting in my thread

So you own this thread, do you? Since this thread isn't about you per say, who and what you are is not up for discussion so why wouldn't I be posting here?

You seem to be taking personal offense to my posts, which I find comical.

The ignorance of your query concerns me. Yes, anyone over 30 should be banned from going to bars at all. If fact, I've heard that bars/lounges are starting to card people to keep the elderly out.

They tried this at a number of VFWs but 95% of their patrons are over 30 ...

However you'd be surprised how many adults stay irresponsible because they don't have kids to force any sort of responsibility on them.

Alcohol causes so much social strife. Drunk people even fight over their relative places in the Pantheon of Loserhood. You shouldn't drink.

Well the question isn't about frequency, its about whether or not you go to a bar. In my situation I work 8-5 Mon-Fri like most people, but sometimes I like to go to a bar on the weekends and relax. This doesn't make me any less responsible than those who don't go to a bar or those who have kids.

The point is there are bars that aren't nightclubs and you can go to a bar to socialize without fist pumping.

lol. Stay away from pool tables especially. Those sticks hurt trust me. I got a chipped tooth from some dude that swung one at me. Caught it, broke finger and tooth before I saw red. Ahh good ole days... Technically my own hand broke my tooth due to momentum of stick. Oh course it was myfault. I started mimicking his effeminate ways while playing to get into his head. He didn't cotton to it. But alcohol was talking on my part....just stupid...

I guess I don't understand the question. :|

KT

I think he's talking about the perpetual college student that hangs out with the same lame friends every week, drinks the same lame beer, and hits on the same lame girls that live in the bar also. All the stuff that was kind of fun 10 years earlier, but is now embarrassing, and undignified.

Yeah, but the difference is that I don't give a crap what others think, especially you, which is why you won't find me commenting on any of your stupid posts, and especially this one. Not only do I know you're the real loser, I don't even have to tell you about it. Nothing you say even phases me. I am so far above worrying about anything you think about me I don't even know you exist. So there. Pop that pill in you're drink the next time you're in a bar.

But you just did comment on the post...

I personally think its stupid to go to bars when I have a bar with beer on tap in my sweet ass basement, with a 120 inch projector, 2 thousand + movies, wine cellar, galaga, pacman, and a collection of music that makes most libraries cry...oh and a humidor filled with cigars from my trips to south america...

I could go out and sit in a shitty seat around people smoking shitty cigarettes, spending money they dont have trying to be cooler than they are.. or I can select the people I want to see....older wiser....

No wonder you have so much money to afford all that, you have no friends to go out with.
