I have long arms. I can drive with my elbow out the window and still have two hands on the wheel.

I hang both arms out there for everyone to see, when I walk to work.

Sometimes I even put my flat hand out the window and surf up and down on the air while I'd driving. I've had people wave back because they thought my surfing was directed at them.

Wow, ATOT never ceases to amaze me with all the idiots around here and some of the things that angers them. I wish I knew the OP so I could drive around all the time with my arm out the window to piss him off

Now that's taking it too far.

You are entitled to an opinion, we are entitled to completely ignore you because you have mental issues. Everyone is a winnar.
Must be hell being so up-tight all the time.

I do it because I'm a badass. I'm definitely more awesome when I do it.

OP, did you consider that, just maybe, people feel like badasses when they do it because they are actually real badasses? You = not cool.

Depends what is considered a "real badass". Just saying you are doesn't make it so.

Oh, and I fully admit that I'm not cool - but I don't pretend to be either.

I drove with my arm out the window today to commemorate this thread.

I don't recall feeling like a badass until I flipped off some little old lady with a walker crossing the street. It did make said flip off easier and less time consuming. I think I shall start riding with my arm out the window more often.

wow....

I do sometimes have my arm somewhat out the window if the window is down- I've never once thought it made me a bad ass/look cool or ever thought other drivers would even notice or give a shit

I guess we all have done it at one point and probably even the OP has tried once or twice too. But, I'm on his side as just trying it out should be enough and it shouldn't really be a habit. BTW, my first post at anadtech goes to this thread!
It seems this forum doesn't have like option, otherwise I'd have liked the comment above mine.

As rants go, the OP has much to learn from shorty.

Anyway, it's stupid to drive with your hand out the window, you might drop your smart phone.

I honestly feel that this is the craziest thing to complain about that I have ever heard. Yes, that sentence kinda doesnt make sense, but you know what I mean.

None of them are "pretending." They are all badass. How can you tell? Because they drive with their arm out the window.

When I see someone driving around Florida with an arm out, all I think is that it's a shame they can't afford to have the air conditioning fixed. Now someone who drives with the window down so they can blast their music loud enough to rattle my fillings, THOSE are the arrogant bastidges. Arghhh!

I can't believe such a silly topic led to a new member...and one that kinda/sorta sympathizes with the OP's ludicrous opinion!

Welcome to ATOT.

...and, OP: I know you are back-pedaling and pretending that you were kidding or being sarcastic.

People notice that you're a badass. (Except the OP)

Yeah even I'm a little shocked by that.

A long time ago Mr. Ralph Nader wrote a book named Unsafe at Any Speed about the early Chevy Corvairs which had a habit of rolling over in low speed turns.

One of the rollovers involved a lady who had her arm out. She lost that arm.

Chevy was exonerated when they proved the car wouldn't roll when the tire pressure was exactly correct (different front and rear).

Chevy redesigned the suspension.
