What did you get when you ran it in your 4xPCIe slot?
-i guess i could move my GPU to my 4x slot to see how limiting it is
:light:
i got almost 9500 with my 8800GTS-640M OC with rig in sig ... i sold my ASrock MB before before i could try it there.
Mir96TA, is your e4400 at stock 2.0Ghz or OC'd? If it's stock, i'd say you are right on and neither is bottlenecking the other. otoh if you OC your e4400 to 3.0Ghz, i'd say your 4xPCIe slot will then hold your GPU back a bit

My GA-P35-DS3R doesn't have the second PCI-E graphics slot, so I have no idea how it would perform as a x4 card on my rig.
However in my P-D820@3.4/Asrock 4coredual setup the HD2900XT barely reaches 8300 3dmarks, my 8800 in the same rigs scores around 7500ish.

actually that IS what i meant about your ASrock's 4xPCIe slot - not your Gigabyte (-i- could test my GPU in my 4x slot) ... and your results seem to bear out the OP's ... that the 4x slot DOES hold it back somewhat ... and if the OP is not OC'ing, it won't make that much difference.
