To hell with Trump, we'll oust him in November. What we need to do is slam the Republicans and smear this stupidity all over them. Lay it at their feet, they are responsible for electing him. For supporting him years after he demonstrated how evil and stupid he is. How unfit for office. They are every bit the problem we face as the man they elected.

This moment in history needs to be an anchor around their necks for generations to follow. Hoover, the Sequel.

Trump organization better move all their money overseas to shelter it before the civil lawsuits start piling up. Class action suit. The people of the United States vs Donald J Trump.

That would be delicious payback for all his frivolous lawsuits.

So now we have the president on record saying that he’s deliberately impeding efforts to combat a deadly pandemic because he thinks it makes him look bad.

Hey Trumpkins, he’s literally getting you and your families killed.
They are not smart enough to figure that out.

My tolerance for this level of stupidity have reached way into the negative numbers. I know some in the real world, and haven't seen them in a while due to staying home. If/when we do cross paths again, and he is still sings the praises of the twatwaffle, I'm just going to say fuck you and walk away.

What money? About 500 million in loans are due.

He wasn't kidding. Today's tweet:

"Cases are going up in the U.S. because we are testing far more than any other country, and ever expanding. With smaller testing we would show fewer cases! "

and here's one way he's going to make it happen:

"The Trump administration is ending funding and support for local COVID-19 testing sites around the country this month, as cases and hospitalizations are skyrocketing in many states."

"The federal government will stop providing money and support for 13 sites across five states which were originally set up in the first months of the pandemic"

Yep Dallas County is losing two of its largest testing sites on July 1. We are already running short on testing on a daily basis in Dallas County.

Funny, just watched that interview with Bolton on ABC, where he says that literally every single thing Trump does is all about media optics and maximizing his chances of re-election, without any consideration ever of helping the American people. He has an ex staffer gone rogue out there saying this about him and then he goes and says things like this.

The man truly is an idiot.
And you know, I think Bolton is 100% right about the dump's motivation being his election chances and nothing else. I've felt that way about him for quite a while now.

if he had handled covid in a competent way he wouldn't be struggling with his numbers like he is now. but that's not trump. he seems to be doing the exact opposite of what he should do to win reelection.

Texas hospitalizations up over 100% (that's double) since the start of June.
Nothing to see here...
I predicted this, not the integer, just that TX was gonna blow up. Dumb ass governor (and lt. governor, IIRC), people business as usual in way too many places, not wearing masks, so much of the state bare bones in terms of hospital capacity and equipment.

He's a businessman. He enjoys luxury, attention, has no intellectual curiosity, no capacity to comprehend the situation that confronts us. His banning of work visas yesterday was just the latest in a series of wild attempts to whip up his poll numbers, more to come... more hell and high water.

The good news is you’ll know when the shit has hit the fan when your hospitals are at capacity.

The increase in hospitalizations shows the argument that there are only "more cases because we're doing more testing" is bull shit. If the increase in identified cases was solely due to more testing and not more people actually getting sick then the hospitalization rate would remain the same as before.

Much more importantly the ratio of positive tests to negative would have actually gone down as our testing became less targeted to suspected cases, but we see the exact opposite. The percentage of tests that test positive have more than doubled in the last 2 months, and show every sign of exponential growth.

Our hospitals in Dallas are already very close to capacity. I am related to nurses working the ICU in 4 of the largest hospitals in Dallas and every one of them says that the ICU's are near bed capacity, but more importantly they are already past care capacity. They simply do not have enough staff to handle all the beds, because the hospitals actually laid off nurses last month because their numbers were down (because as most people were staying home there was considerably fewer hospitalizations overall).

May 26, 2020 - Baylor Scott & White will lay off about 1,200 and furlough others
Apr 16, 2020 - Tenet Healthcare furloughs 3,400 hospital workers, citing lost revenue from halt on elective surgeries

Stay safe because it sounds like it’s going to be a horrid 2 months even if they start taking significant steps now.

it'll continue to get worse until trump is out of office because he thinks high positive numbers will hurt his reelection and he can't have that, now can he.

Significant steps? Nah they are only encouraging people to stay at home and wear masks if they go out.

I’m not sure how much better it is that the president would think it would be good to lie about impeding efforts to fight a deadly pandemic.

He did it for his rally attendees like this fine person.

When you always have to tell people you are joking, you suck at humor.

This "I was kidding" shit is part of his old tired playbook. To deflect from the comments he makes when he is in his showman/conman mode.

"Anyone who has to tell people that he is a king, is no king."
"Anyone who tells people that they mean what they say, does not know what they are saying and does not know what they mean."
"Anyone who has to tell people that they are joking, is not joking."
"Anyone who has to tell people that they aren't racist, well....yeah, they're probably racist."
etc.

Trump may not be the first president to do bad things for political reasons, but he's certainly the first to announce it to a wide audience. "Hi, I'm Donald Trump and I'm going to do the wrong thing for the wrong reason."

And his people will say: "well at least he's honest about being a scuzzy piece of shit!"

"He tells it like it is!"

...until they decide that they "aren't comfortable" with what he said, and will decide that we just don't understand what he meant...
