I've been looking for a stateside supplier of perfume oils for a while. This is one of the few I've found and the prices are excellent.

1 oz roll on bottles are $2.99 (any brand)
1/3 oz roll on bottles are $1.69

Hundreds of name brand type scents are available. These things will last a very very long time.

Its a little late for Xmas, but a little early for Valentines....

I looked, but the oils appeared to be counterfeit.
All said name-brand-type.
Good prices, though, if one likes that type of fragrance.

Not entirely counterfeit. But the brands do not sell oil, but the packaged oil and alcohol in various concentrations. Saying its X-Brand type is as close as you can come without running the risk of some serious trademark issues. Pure oils are carefully matched scents, and are commonly found in the middle east, asia, and other locations abroad.

Probably looks like this in the link. It's an applicator bottle. Some deodorants at one time were in roll on bottles. Ban I think comes to mind. The 10ml bottle is approximately 1/3 oz

Scroll down a bit

http://www.abundantlifeessentials.com/bottles.htm

Exactly. The 1/3 oz bottle in your link is exactly what the oil is in. A 1 oz bottle is larger diameter (~1") and slightly taller. About the size of a roll on deodorant/antiperspirant like Ban or Mitchum.

For women: Angel (W), Poison (W), Curious (W), Hanae Mori (W), and Jean Paul Gaultier 2 (U) (Unisex) are some of my favorites.

For men: Cool Water (M), Polo Double Black (M), Givenchy Pi (M), Cool Water Game (M), Issey Miake (M), and Mont Blank (M) are some of my favorites.

Try basenotes.net for good information on the various colognes/perfumes as well. Everyone likes something different, and what I like may not be what you like. But at $1.69 for a 1/3 oz roll on that will last several months of daily use, you can by over 20 types for the same price you would pay for ONE in the store.

From basenotes.net community forums some of the best scents for men are:

Let me add Burberry London (M), Armani Code Black (M), Unforgivable (M) and Angel (M) to that list. Best $7 you can spend.

$8.99 for shipping is a bit rough for something so small, but I caved in and got:
Burberry London, Armani Code Black, Creed Green Irish Tweed, Abercrombie Fierce, and Juicy Couture Dirty English. Will let you guys know what I think when they arrive.

EDIT: Also had to pay sales tax even though the store is based in Utah and I'm in Louisiana. Not much, but the principle of that irritates me.

The Common Scents said:
What is fragrance oil?

Fragrance oil is used to make a number of cosmetic products, like cologne, perfume, soaps, candles, lotions, etc. Perfume and Cologne are made by adding fragrance oil to alcohol. The mixture is 10% oil and 90% alcohol. Cologne and perfume sprays only last for a short time. This is because the alcohol speeds up the evaporation process. This is why perfume and cologne is so strong when first sprayed and then dissipates so quickly. These fragrance oils contain absolutely no alcohol. Because oil takes much longer to evaporate these cologne and perfume oils give off a consistent aroma that lasts.

Does that mean the oils they sell will last much longer throughout the day compared to the similar "type" oil advertised?

I jumped in and bought Issey Miyake "type". I normally wear the fragrance from Nordstrom, but will give this a shot... if it's truly 100% oil compared to the authentic 10% oil / 90% alcohol, I hope the smell isn't too strong...

Since the evaporation rate of oil is much slower than alcohol, the scent is usually not as strong as the regular perfumes/colognes in stores. And for the same reason the scents do last much longer. +24 hours is not uncommon for the oils on skin and if you place it on wood or another porous material it can last for weeks or months. In fact you can use the oils in a diffuser or similar device (wood block, cloth, etc) in a house, car, etc.

In the middle east, wood chips are often soaked in oils and burned on top of small charcoal discs (Bukhoor) which is used to give the whole house a scent and plays a role in certain special occasions.

Well, I just placed a "trial" order...was just shy of $100 shipped. We'll see if me and my gf like any of these.

you and i have different definitions of trial....
Perhaps where he lives, s/h was $97.... It will be interesting to read what he posts when he goes beyond a trial purchase.

Edit: That said... my "trial" order just hit $50! I'll distribute the multitude of items as gifts, with those I most-enjoy going to folks I prefer to sniff.

I confess I did the same thing. I purchased many when I was overseas, but I've placed about $150 in orders in the last month, both to try new oils and to pick up a few as gifts to give away. I'm going to be taking a few in at work, sort of sharing the cultural experiences I had while overseas.

Where I was, such things were given to friends on birthdays and such (or watches, small jewelry items, etc), here we tend to place much much more meaning on giving perfume or anything similar as a gift. Makes the giving that much harder sometimes.

Got mine in today, in a USPS Priority small flat-rate box. It was packaged pretty well, and came with a contents list signed off by some dude named Jared. Anyways, they all seem pretty decent. The Abercrombie Fierce is spot-on, while the Armani Black-type seems a little weak, which might be a good thing. Not sure yet if I like the roll-on dispenser, but I think I might be able to get used to it. Definitely seems worth the <$25 I spent, considering I got 5 relatively expensive scents to play around with.

My "trial order" came in. I purchased mostly mens cologne, and a small handful of women's perfume for my girlfriend. Most of the scents smell pretty close to the manufacturer. There are a few that I will end up buying 8oz of.

I don't recall exactly how many "sample size" bottles I ordered, but two of the bottles that I ordered didn't have the "roller ball" setup, and one leaked all over the shipment. They shipped the bottles in one flat-rate mailer, and used bubble wrap inside. I was pretty bummed that I had to wipe ALL of the scents down since nearly a whole bottle was dumped in the shipment.

I would purchase from them again, and plan to in the near future.

They have both of my all-time favorites listed (Aqua di Gio & Polo Blue --- currently out of both), so I may have to give these guys a shot soon.

Mine came shipped exactly the same way too. I had 2 of the spray bottles (not roller), they didn't leak out entirely but yeah I had to rinse them down. For price, not complaining.
The rollers didn't leak one bit.
