Last Thursday night, a gay couple was brutally beaten by a group of two men and six women who were “visibly intoxicated.” NBC Philadelphia reports, “Witnesses say someone in the group asked, 'Is this your f****** boyfriend?' When one of the victims told them yes, the group allegedly attacked them, punching and kicking them in the face, head and chest.” One of the attackers grabbed a victim's bag and fled. At least one of the victims was taken to the hospital for fractures to his face and had to have his jaw wired shut.

Just to be clear, because I know it is not popular to do so, SOME of the perps were alleged to have been former students at a catholic school. One person, an assistant coach hired on "a contract basis" has already been let go from the school.

Also, from reports (that I know nobody here will bother to read) it seems the attack started not as "gay bashing" (although that is clearly a factor) but as a random incident when the victims bumped into the group.

Don't read into this post anything more than this...an attempt to get people to read up on available facts before them jumped to cliched conclusions based on misleading headlines.

suspects have lawyered up and told the police department they would surrender today, but they have kept the department waiting, and officers were considering going to the suspects' homes to make the arrests.

I dunno, going to someone's house to arrest them sounds kind of rude.

The article is an intent to distract. No matter whether you're Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Atheist, Agnostic, Pagan, etc. nobody deserves to be chastised for their sexual orientation. The article is about people being judged for the sexual orientation, not about religion as the OP has portrayed.
