I recently tried to go multi-user on my Windows 2000 computer. I created an account for myself under the "user" group.
The problem is this: I have a game that I've registered. When I run the game in my new account, it says I haven't registered the game and gives me the trial version. As an admin, the game runs fine. If I change my group to "Power user", the game runs fine.
I'm curious as to why this is happening. I can see that the game could store registration data in the registry and that the registry would change for the new user. But then why is the power user group able to run the game?
Any suggestions ?
