Head over to Laguna Beach.

Take the 405 south to the 133 west, and take the road all the way to Pacific Coast Highway, then make a right @ PCH then make an immediate left at the next light. There should be a few parking spots there (with meters, but the cops never check after 6 I think).

From there, just walk down to the beach and enjoy. I might head out there myself for this.

Yup that's where I'll be going. From where I am take the 210W and exist on Angeles Crest Hwy.

Will be watching. Thanks. Speaking of, I saw the most incredible "shooting star" last week while camping in Glacier NP. I was in Rising Sun and I saw it shoot low in the horizon and bright as hell just behind Red Eagle Mtn. to the south. I was sure it must have impacted. Amazing.

Yeah the Perseids should be pretty good this year. Too much moon light next year, althought the Leonids should be better (in November)...almost no moon light.

I was lucky enough to have gone out and seen the Leonids on their latest 33-year peak in 2001 while I was at Comdex in Vegas. Went out to the lake with the astrological society. It was an awesome show.
