isnt around this way that the bar starts to drastically bend? ;x
Nah, you're talking about 6 plates on each side. The scary part about that guys is, he packs a MONSTER punch.

His ain't cardio ain't w0rth sh!t! still got to love the old skool guy and that BP is SO not legit

Koing
Yeah, his cardio sucks, but he can inflict a massive amount of damage in a short amount of time. And if you are talking about the little bouce he did when benching, that wasn't too bad. His back was pretty much flat on the bench. I'll definitely give him credit for that, especially considering the weight. That's just fvcking strong.

He can punch but his last bunch of results have been poor . I've wanted him to win SO many times but he keeps on losing . Kind of like Sak . I ALWAYS want him to win but he keeps on losing.

He definately gets credit for shifting a big ass weight (more from his fights imo ) but would have been so much better if it was strict! Oh yeah no crazy BP shirt also

Are you watching The Ultimate Fighter 3? Can't believe they got rid of the challenges! They were great to watch imo but yeah one guy only fought once and got to the semi's in season 2.

Dude, don't get me started with the UFC. Let's just say I don't have much respect for the current UFC.

If you want to watch the ultimate throw down though, check out Pride on May 5th. It's going to be AWESOME!! I can't wait!

Dude, I don't think Tank was wearing a special shirt for that press. That looked like a regular T-Shirt to me.

You know 80% of Americans are overweight.

Anyway, I have not ever touched a benchpress since high school but the best I ever did was 2x270. I weighed 175 at the time. I could certainly bench the most pound per pound than anyone who used to hang around the weight room. I am 25 now. I am not one of those people who claim to be tall and weight something that would make them a stick and thus their story I don't believe. I am 5'7 and not a stick.

Agreed but hey I'm a fan and I like some of the current fighters . It'll be a cycle and we'll get some really good fighters. Well we have some good fighters, just no 'stand out' fighters of yester years.

Yes I know Tank wasn't. It was in reference that he did it without a BP shirt .

I'll be looking out for that Pride event

I HAVE NO IDEA. I have never worked out.
I would bet I can work circles around most of the people who have claimed they do though.
It doesn't matter whether it is with a shovel , moving large items , or just moving small items for really long periods of time.
I am fairly well built , but it comes from hard work , not a weight bench.
FTR , I am 6"1' and about 215 lbs. 15 of it is from getting old and bad habits over the last 6-7 years , but the rest was earned the hard way over the previous 30+ years.
I have been challenged by much younger and bigger guys many times, and seldom ever lost in either endurance or strength efforts such as moving large volume of material or large bulky items.
In the real world , as well as in the weight room , it is the attitude that gets it done.
I personally refuse to quit , whether in a contest with someone or in a fight.
Can't isn't in the dictionary.

Just curious, how often do you guys bench?

I've been working out regularly for 3 years now. I've always mixed up exercises within a 4 day per week split. 1 day per Chest, Back, Legs, and Shoulders.

My benchpress has never progressed above 195 (I'm 6'1", 200lbs, 12%BF), but my squat is constantly gaining and I'm around 325 (good for what I started at) and my deadlift is around 375.

I have always just figured that my chest is weak.

As weird as this sounds.. you need to get a good workout partner.. i didn't start hitting high numbers in weight in the gym.. till i got myself a good workout partner that knows how to spot me... and once you have that.. atleast in my case.. i wasn't scared to go up in weight... im larger jumps than i would alone...

Yeah, I'm the same way. My spotter, which is my younger brother, does about ~450lbs on bench.

Lol, I think my max bench was like 145lb my sophomore year of high school when I weighed like 130lb. Now I'm 155 and I can bench like 130.

About 6 years ago I could bench 402 twice. I was working out with some monsters doing juice that were hitting 500. I was really into power lifting at the time (no juice). Don't think I'll ever come close to that again! At the time I was 6'2" about 235.
