Personal Preferences for Keyboards?

I did a search before I posted this one, saw many threads with "best keyboard/bang per buck" threads, but I haven't seen one for actual preferences and why. I'd make a poll if I knew how to, but I once got into a discussion with my cousin about this. Personally I prefer a slim keyboard(the keys are like flat tiles), not only because I'm so used to it(all I use is a laptop these days), but because its quiet and the low depression distance ables for me to type thriftier(so it feels at least).

My cousin on the other hand likes full keyboards, those with bulging cubicle keys with nice deep presses to engage the keys. Ironically, he types faster on such keyboards, I guess because he's used to the feeling.

I like the feedback of each key, one that is not too light to mis-press, or one too stiff to over-press, but to each his own.

So what is the question you might ask? Which keyboard is your favorite and why? I will eventually have to wheel out the cash to build myself a desktop rig again(I haven't used one for 3 and half years almost, or not one that was mine).

I already have an idea of what cpu/mobo/components I might use, but I've totally neglected some of the most essential peripherals, the keyboard and the mouse(another story for the mouse...I like it plain and simple, but again with swift easy buttons, but I tend to like stiff wheels with feedback).

Just got a BTC 6200C. Ultraslim multimedia. Just like a laptop. I love it. Was $24 at Frys. BTC makes several ultraslim models for cheap.

I hate keyboards with "F-Lock" (I'm an F-key junkie). I hate the old-style L-shaped enter key and the "office-style" arrangement of PU, PD, INS, DEL, HME, END. I love having a built-in USB hub. I kinda like low-profile laptop-style keys. I like to have the BREAK key accessible while holding WIN (There is a cool Dell server keyboard that fails this requirement ).

I'm a big fan of the Microsoft Internet Keyboard Pro (USB hub, perfect layout) and the *Bluetooth* Logitech DiNovo (Not the cheaper set).

My favorite mouse is the old MS Intellimouse Pro yet it wears out easily. I went through all five backups in only two years! It keeps your hand elevated off the mouse pad and has a nice rubberized grip. Only problem is the lack of accessory/browser buttons... I HATE it when one of those standard browser nav buttons makes you lose a whole forum post from an accidental press so not having them can be a good thing.

Saitek Executive, it's built like a tank and has a simple rugged design. Key feel is excellent, soft but with feedback. It's basically the Saitek Gaming keyboard without the macro pad.
As for the mouse, i'm currently using the Logitech MX-1000, because I got it for free. It has a nice shape to it and i find that it is much more accurate in BF2 and HL2 than the MX700.

The "Office" keyboard arrangement is ludicrous. Who the hell decided to group the F keys in groups of 3 instead of 4? What possible purpose could it serve? Muscle memory is broken and it causes confusion (last key of first group is no longer F4). Microsoft has finally started to create keyboards again with a standard layout, but the copycat OEM's will probably take their time to follow.

I have a MS Digital Media Keyboard Pro. It's a media keyboard (obviously), so it's got all the fancy extra buttons, sliders, and Winamp control buttons, plus a wrist rest. Really comfy and looks solidly built too. I like to go with MS for keyboards, Logitech for mice.

I have the Zboard, and the Saitek pc gamers board, and i like the Saitek just a little bit better.

As for mouse, i hate microsoft wireless mouses....
I have a logitech mx518 and mx1000, and i like them both so much i can't decide which one.
Probably the 518 because of the easier side buttons for gaming.

The Zboards looks rather interesting. I was at a public library the other day and noticed a dell keyboard called the "slimline". I kind of liked it, I don't know whether it was the curves or if it actually felt nice to type on but I liked it. Here's a pic of it(I think), only this one has a wrist pad attached to it(seemingly):

Have you had experience with this keyboard before?

I googled "BTC 6200C", and it appeared that every site that came up was in Russian, but then I did the "sites only in English" search and found what you were talking about, it's a swift looking keyboard.

Simple, durable, good keys, and ErgoForce is one of those things that actually make a difference.
For those that don't know, ErgoForce is basically a fancy name for having different resistances on different keys, based on what fingers people tend to use to press them.
The space bar for example is requires far more force(relatively speaking of course) to press than the "l" key.
Really makes a difference, and I didnt really notice it until I used my parents keyboard, an older KeyTronic model, same layout and all, only lacking EF.
Damn it was frustrating to type on that thing after a while.
