Personal Website... Comments/Suggestions please!

Hello all...

I just finished up a personal website for myself and I think I've gotten it presentable enough to post here at least. I'd appreciate it if you guys could take a look and leave some comments and suggestions about the design/material. I've been job hunting for the past couple of months since my contract with my current employer will end in May and I haven't been successful at getting any responses . I was hoping that I could use this website as a tool to demonstrate my web-design skills and possibly increase my chances of employment. Thanks in advance.

I think the design is quite nice, not sure about the material though.......

Not quite sure that I would link prospective employers to this "material"....
Maybe move the personal stuff farther down in your structure

It's presentable, but nothing anyone will fall of the chair for. I doubt it will either decrease or increase your prospective chance for employment.

Ah well, this is a result of 7 days of work. Definitely will be making more changes to it. Thanks for the comments.

Yeah I wouldn't want my employer reading some of that stuff, just because it looks unprofessional.

Alright, so i guess i should seperate the personal and professional stuff then.

Good job over all few things I would do again only my humble opinion:

Education Section - More emphasis on what skills u have maybe bold text/different color/more graphics just something to draw the reader into what is relevant to them.

Portfolio section I liked the clean setup there I wouldnt touch anything

News section again nice lots of updates are good maybe cut them down to every 3 days to a week v.s. everyday once you've had it up for a while.

Music/Movies section feels kind of plain gets the job done looks clean but just a little too much white background for me personally.

Family section good more pictures if they let u put more up!!

Friends section good lotsa pics nice more pictures of Jo lene yay shes a hottie =) Nah just kidding but I like all the pics here and simple to read descriptions.

Gadgets again here we go a perfect section for some nice graphics with all that computer stuff there some animated stuff would even go well here.Id get more techie there too with descriptions b/c I know you have a nice setup but make sure average joe goes "good gawd he has a monster for a pc" when he reads all your flashy terms.Lol thats me tho maybe a flash intro too would be cool but that might over do it know what i mean.

Drink section nice of course more detail on what u drink non-mixed ie beer/wine yadda yadda and maybe what kind if you wanna inlcude that of course.I like the drink of the week idea and maybe include an option to see last weeks drink

Games good good indeed nice and clean

Links stayed with the clean easy to read theme nice nice

Ok so i wrote alot more than I thought sorry but IMO very nice site put together easy to navigate and everything is where it should be to catch my attention.

I think it is very presentable. Constructive criticism would be a bit too bubbly, but other than that I enjoy the simplicity of it.
