Pest Control : Air Pellet gun

Take a 5gal bucket and fill it 3/4 with water. Sprinkle bird seed on top of the water and set a board from the ground to the top of the bucket and set it buy your foundation.... They will climb the board and jump right in. Make sure to check it every day I have got as many as 8 a day.

I have a squirrel issue. I use a 20 gauge shot gun.

We have a lot of different animals that go through our yard, my dog does a great job of keeping most out, but for the stubborn ones I use a pellet gun similar to the OP's. I just pump it up a few times and shot them in the rear and that is usually good enough to never see them again. Hard enough that it probably leaves a mark but it doesn't penatrate their skin so doesn't kill them. Only things I do kill without any hesitation are rats I see running along the face, but I have pretty much destroyed their population around here between me and my dog.
