It's amazing how internet can make you famous in forums even if you don't have the appropriate knowledge to deserve something like that.. Rollo in my eyes was just an nVidia fanatic, but he had a "communication" gift, and that's why he was in the AEG program in the first place.Nevertheless I couldn't care less whether he returns or not, and most of all it is not my decision. Now Akshayt was a foonky personality. I need him back asap. I still believe that he was making fun with his posts but nevertheless it was kinda funny to have him around and seeing the fuss he was creating. Bring back Akshayt that's the real problem I agree with Stumps

nothing is permanent ... even Dennilfloss was allowed back and he PO'd OT like never before ... with pretty good results, so far ... he is a contributing member of ATF again

there is a *precedent* -- the mods let Dennilfloss back ... and his offense was far worse and he tore OT completely apart
--he is back, has "learned" and is useful

i say give Rollo a last chance

if he messes up ... out he goes ... imo, his return would be *conditional* ... with a long probation

you're making the assumption he wants to come back. he doesn't.

i suppose he might feel differently and change his mind knowing some people would like him back, but he has a couple of other forums he moderates now and calls home....

I agree...

However we would need a full time mod for the video forum...I suspect that if Rollo was to return, a lot of people would be pissed off and it would cause a lot of interesting stuff to happen in this forum...

nVidia hasn't given a flying crap about their drivers for a long time now.
They were formerly just decent enough fewer people complained.
Now that they're sh!t, it's something new that nVidia doesn't listen?

I didn't see the whole history of the saga, but if he really did get people banned for accusing him just because he wouldn't come clean on his affiliation with AEG then I would really say no. Without that happening I wouldn't mind giving him(or anyone) a second chance.

Munky would be a good moderator. Has an ATI slant but still sees(and talks) the truth on most any matter. And he likes(and knows) video cards.

Video used to be fun to read with all the fanboys bashing each other about which card is better.

Or they simply don't want one of the most talked about trolls returning to Video, regardless of his AEG standing. Heck, Chris Ray said a few months ago that AEG doesn't even exist anymore.

I just don't see the reason to bring this Rollo back for "nVidia relations" when it seems most who are wanting him back already know how to get a hold of him - and nVidia for that matter. Not to mention Chris Ray has the same kind of affiliation and is already a member here, thus being the link from Anadtech to nVidia.
