Just had my 9 year old dog put down. she was sick.

We are now looking for a new dog preferably under a year and great with kids. Anyone have one that needs adoption?

Must be a female.

Dog = 6-1/2 year old Labrador/Rottweiler mix, LOVES the water (pools, rivers, lakes, etc.).

Cat = ?? year old Birman (she sorta came with the house almost 7 years ago ), she's very active, and as nutty as hell at night, so I doubt she's anything above 9-10 years old.

Right now I have 4 dogs. Later today I'll have 3. We're having the 15 year old put to sleep as she can't move her back legs anymore and can only spin around on her front legs. I'm sure going to miss her since I knew her all my life And probably by next year, I'll only have 2 dogs seeing how the 17 year old schnauzer is losing her eyesite, but is still pretty active.

Here are some of them:
Sally, Beauregard, and Stonewall as kittens and with Samantha their mother as adults.
Morris. His left ear is floppy due to an operation he had to remove a small tumor 2 years ago.
Oreo and George and Oreo playing.
Opie and Bea are 2 of 3 feral kittens my wife rescued from a storm drain last December. We are still trying to get them socialized to people.

Not true at all!!!!

Beagles are notorious for getting jealous of losing attention to newborns and have been known to attack them. They might be good with children rather than infants though...

Sadly, I just had to put my 12 year old Golden Retriever to sleep a couple of months ago. She had joint problems and tumors all over her. It was sad to see her deteriorate so quickly, but she was never quite the same when we moved about 5 years ago. Katie is my fiancee's dog, and she's growing on me, though
