People who like PF Changs have poor taste. That's the stupidest thing I've heard in a while. But I have to admit I was expecting it.

Taste is subjective and has nothing to do with the OP. No one is arguing authenticity. All he asked was recommendations from their menu. We're all happy that you guys are so proud of your heritage, but why so much crap on those who like something you don't?

You are over analyzing it. If you are looking for authentic Chinese food or comparing it to that you are wasting your time. PF Changs is great food. Is it great Chinese food? Probably not...but I don't think it is trying to pass itself off as authentic Chinese food. Even if it is who cares? It's good!

I guess if you're Chinese and looking for authentic Chinese food you will be disappointed but to argue that people who like it have poor taste is just childish not to mention WRONG!

Hell yeah. All 3 of those are awesome! But get the chicken lettuce wraps, not the veggie. The chicken are better. And if you like scallops, the Kung Pao are top notch.

The ahi tuna isn't bad either. If you like things really spicy, the beef a la szechuan(sp?) is really really good, but pretty damn spicy!

I'm white and think the rest of their food is bland and not-so-tasty. I prefer a real Chinese restaruant over PF Changs and it's highway robbery for what you pay.

Ate there 3-times, never paid out of my onw pocket and still think it sucks!
It was created in Arizona, think people in 'zona know anything about Chinese food?

I could care less what people from 'zona know about Chinese food. The food is good to me so I eat it! I never considered it that expensive either, especially for the quality of the food IMO, and the service is generally very good.

there great wall of chocolate is good i remember... pretty darn big though.... oh yea, 1 thing I absolutely love about pfc is.... THEY HAVE THE MOST KICK ASS TO GO BOXES!!! I don't think the resturant was trying to capture the authentic Asian market. From regular authentic Chinese resturant patrons, I've always heard its crappy and my buddy who is non Chinese/Asian says he loves it.

Its geared for Panda Express crowd who want something better with the atmosphere to go with it.

I never said I wanted real chinese food. I just wanted somewhere nice to have an off site meeting. I was just asking what was good on the menu. If I wanted "real" chinese food i'd find a chinese girlfriend and have her make me some...

I think you'll like it. The majority of people do (unless of course you are some Chinese food Connoisseur and needs to have something authentic apparently). Just get the lettuce wraps and the Kung Pao Scallops and fill out the rest of your order with something that sounds good to you! :thumbsup:

I can't believe some of you guys in this post are complaining that people have their "panties in a bunch" yet you guys are the very same ones getting pissed at people for telling you the food is not authentic. How do you supposed a restaurant NAMED PF Chang's (last time I checked, Chang is not an American or European surname) is NOT trying to be a Chinese restaurant. Look at their menu! Those are mainly Chinese dishes. It's Chinese food that is catered to an American palette that is naive of authentic Chinese food. People are trying to help the OP by telling him that if it is Chinese food he is after (clearly the case, why else would you choose PF Chang's?) then he would be suited better going elsewhere.

It's almost like some of you are PROUD of your ignorance. Yelling at people trying to help you out, it's really silly.
