And I absolutely can't stand when they advertise and say, "Enables everday Web browsers to experience a more immersed, visually stimulating computer experience."

How exactly will Phenom offer me more Web browser immersion over say an Athlon X2 4600? or a C2D? Sorry, just annoying to me. But enjoy.

Yeah, apologies for the little pet peeve of mine. It wasn't about the product, just the marketing spin. I would also LOVE to see some benchmarks. That case has some mega gale force windage blowing through it. Probably because of the 2900's in there.

The marketing spin is catering towards mainstream noobs. Of course before that it says for digital/pefromance people and gamers. And at last they include web surfers, not to leave them out, I mean they are a large piece of pie But yea, kinda cheesy.

I did make it clear that my annoyance was not directed at the product, but the PR spin, correct? I don't get you. I can't help but think you are trying to defend AMD somehow and for no reason. Because suddenly, we are talking about Intel's power consumption in a "Phenom lives and breathes?" thread.

The thing is, that independent study could be right or wrong. I'm leaning towards somewhere in the middle from all the other power consumption reviews we have seen.

But the thing I was ranting about was written on a card sitting in front of the PC it was describing.

And would you mind elaborating on what is in bold above. Not really clear what you mean.

Well, I see one CPU in that case, and 4 processors in task manager. So I'm guessing it's not a K8. Unless of course it's just a flat out lie. But I don't think so.

What are you blabbling on about? We all know the cpu vendors have the same if not identical marketing schemes. Please do not plant me as the bad guy defending against your silly rant. Yes we do. But you immediately drew Intel into this conversation which indicates a defense mechanism. Am I wrong? Not saying Intel doesn't do this crap too, just that you are always quick with the defense. I thought it was odd.

ZStream, until you address my comments in the correct context, which is an easy thing to do, I'm going to ignore you. Let me know when you can do this. When things are intentionally taken out of context, it is easy to see that person just wants to argue.

You guys must be comparing single core to dual and quad-core on intel systems. My opteron 180 loads web pages 3.187 % faster than my old fx55!!!
