This price is almost as good as WalMart 57 bux before taxes.....local pickup. I use this player all the time to watch all my divx and dvd movies...By far the best player on the market when it comes to the range of players.

I've been using this player for over a year now, it's awesome if you watch different formats than just DVD. It plays almost everything (except ogg, unfortunately) and does a pretty nice job of it. You can't go wrong at this price

I've been looking at these types of players for a while but I still find it easier to use Zoom player and a htpc. I might go for a refurb for $36 as an addt'l player to take around with me, though.

I was going to get one, but several people on the Amazon feedback page say it died on them after 6 - 8 months and Philips gave really lousy customer support. Too bad. Otherwise it looks like a terrific value. So do read the actual feedback, and don't just go by the star ratings (most star ratings are from people who just bought it, so they don't always reflect long term dependability).

The online outlet store has been out of stock for over a month. Irritatingly, they make you get to the last page of checkout before telling you this.

My local WalMart just dropped the price to $57 last week, and I picked up a second one. I don't like the remote, though -- but the compatibility, and particularly the divx/xvid playback, is great.
