They are great. These are the older models so (which still work great) so they are just probably trying to move inventory.

Where is the $20 discount for the Costco one? I don't see the reduced price in my cart.

The Costco one uses the more expensive brush heads that can get bacteria and sludge under them... I recommend buying the shellshocker it has the cheaper brush heads and is a superior brush imo.

P.S. amazon.com appears to have it for 76.45 free shipping and apparently there is a $10 rebate so if you miss this shellshocker or prefer amazon.com then there ya go.

Does this use the same standard brush head as the FlexCare model?
I have lots of brush heads of the FlexCare model sitting around.

I brush for like 5-10 minutes with a regular tooth brush :x

I'll look into these...

I also brush my teeth for 5 -10 minutes when I use a regular toohbrush, but that still isn't as good as using these for 2 minutes. They are self-timed, and also give a beeo every 30 seconds, so you know when to move to the next quadrant of your mouth.

I agree, Sonicare brushing is superior to regular brushing. Been using them for years.

.

These are great toothbrushes, but I also recommend getting the non-elite model due to the issues with stuff building up under the brush heads. It's enough of a problem that somebody on eBay sells actually little covers, or toothbrush condoms, that make a better seal at the base of the brush head.

I had one. Brushed with it for a long time. Then went back to a manual and couldn't believe how much better my teeth and gums felt. IDK... Maybe the Sonicare made me a lazy brusher, but for me manual gave me much better results.

< these are pricey but worth it ! Once you try one ,

I don't see any $20 off at Cosco....the link says $99.99 with no mention of a rebate on the page that I can see....

I totally agree. The newer models with the smaller brush heads are MUCH better. The old design with the twist on heads just gets too nasty. I've had both models, and spent way too much time bleaching out the top of the toothbrush and trying to get the gunk that was built up under the head.

Of course, NASA gets no credit for inventing the electric toothbrush all the way back in the 60's...one must wonder how much work it would be to brush your teeth clean using a manual toothbrush in zero gravity

I love my Soniccare, and although its technology far surpasses the rotary head NASA invented (much like the Oral-B Vitality, which simply isn't as good as the Soniccare) it still amazes me how many innovations came from the space program.

BTW, I've been using a Soniccare since 1997, and every one has lasted 4-5 years. I actually replaced the battery pack in my current one using an online tutorial. The model before this (2002-2006) finally had its button cave in and water damaged all the electronics.

My dental hygenist always comments on how good my brushing is, but still jabs me for crappy flossing habits.

not to thread cap this but........

Sonic-care altho a great tooth brush ... owned man and the very first that appeared in the sharper image when it first opened...

Sonic-care lost is patent on "SONIC" Cleaning now everyone has jumped in the game... I've used sonic from oral - b to Waterpik Sensonic... Personally for 50 bucks I find sensonic to be the best I've tried of the "sonic" brushes.

Thought I'd share. Tho, you can't go wrong with a sonicare. They are great toothbrushes and if your just getting one they will keep you out of the dentist chair spending $$$$ ...

Remember and ounce of prevention is worth is weight in gold. So... get one!

By the way I live in hawaii and costco has gone down hill and charges extra to ship...while amazon is still free!
