I used Mozilla and switched to Phoenix. I havent looked back since. It loads very quickly, pages render fast, and uses very little RAM. Ive got all the plugins working properly, and a nice OS X theme on it. Its easy to customize the toolbars too!

I've been using Opera for a long time now and I love it. Every time I usa a public computer and I'm surfing the web I always accidentally use the mouse gestures. .
I'm waiting for more skins to appear for Opera 7.

I installed phoenix on the recommendation of this thread. I like it because it's similar to NS 7 that I use on my linux box at work. I was getting sick of IE taking up close to 90mb of ram to open the 10 or so browswer windows I have open at a time, phoenix is using 39.4 right now for 10 browsers and they're all tabbed in one window, which is very easy to navigate between them all.

I have found a couple of bugs, when I print previewed, it got stuck and I had to kill it via the Task Manager. I installed a couple of Extensions, and I had to do it twice because they didn't take, same with some skins, I downloaded 5 and only 1 actually registered. The Extensions, I understand are most likely the guys who came up with tme, it's their code that is buggy. There has been one or two other times that I have had to kill it b/c it did something screwy.

Overall, It's okay, I'm not going to mess myself like some people in the thread I am probably going to stick with it b/c of the tabbed browsing and the memory consumption, but I'll upgrade when they have more stable releases.

Keep in mind that Phoenix is beta - VERY beta. The 0.5 milestone release is getting old already and has a ton of bugs - very slow, and a huge memory leak. The nightly builds can either be completly unusable due to bugs, but there are a few that are really good. If you are considering trying Phoenix and really seeing what its like, I suggest the 01/29/03 build. It has no major bugs that i'm aware of. Its the build I use.

IE is so integrated into Windows that it was always my browser of choice. I liked opera for awhile, but IE's integration just makes it seem better to me. I guess i could be a witness for companies suing microsoft for monopoly cuz basically their integration of IE into their OS makes it my browser of choice

Ok, this is another pointless bump, but I'm in love with Phoenix, I'm telling you.

People, give it a shot if you haven't, it's free, what you got to lose???

You'll thank me later.

After using it for a couple of weeks, here's my review:

mine doesn't seem to like when I get a PM here, crashes pretty often either javascript or just the exe.
It has a memory leak somewhere. The page file usage grows substantially if I leave the browser open over night.
I have several extensions that I have downloaded. They randomly will be uninstalled, and I have to redownload them.
ESPN.com does not work at all now. The front page loads, but I cannot click any links.
When I try to view the properties of an images, It tries to launch a new window and attempts to open a .xsi file.

It's okay for right now, even with the problems. I'm thinking about downloading crazy browser, which I have heard cuts some of the chaff out of ie and gives added functionality. Probably wont happen for a while, as i'm rather lazy about a change like that.
