Not on a primary machine of mine I installed it on my future-sister-in-law's 2nd computer which had a bootleg copy of XP on it. No security issues that I know of, there are several *free* anti-virus/security suites available from macafee, norton, kaspersky (i use this one), and a few others I forget. They are also beta versions, which is why they're free. The Kaspersky I think expires end of this year.
Windows 7 is lovely though. Very similar to Vista, but it feels so much quicker. I always got the impression that Vista was just so "heavy". Even though I've never really had any problems with it, it seems like it should be running faster. Win7 feels much lighter and snappier. More like XP. Seems to be pretty stable in my limited testing.
When I get around to it, I'll probably install it on my laptop to dual-boot with linux. I just haven't gotten around to it.
