I haven't noticed any problem regarding daylight shots, but I've seen direct comparisons between the F30 and other cameras from Panasonic or Canon. It seems like the competitors produce punchier pictures than the F30, but it's nothing dramatic.
In the end, the F30 allows me to take pictures in places where other camera couldn't. A lot of the snapshots you will be taking might be indoor or in low light conditions you wont be able to control, and that's where the camera really shines.
IMO, nothing can replace ISO performance. Image stabilization is just a marketing gimmick IMO. It works to a certain extant, or maybe be useful if you are handling telephoto lenses, but cannot replace raw ISO performance.
bump!
