I ordered on Saturday the 18th and received an email within minutes with my conformation. I received an email about 3 days later telling me my order had shipped. I have a UPS tracking number and as of right now in Oklahoma City to be delivered tomorrow. I expected it to take that long because the holiday always screws up the shipping.

Spoke to Photoalley CSR - they still did not download any orders placed as from Friday the 24th, should be done overnight and so we can expect to get a confirmation by tomorrow afternoon. Let's see...

from reading the locked thread and this one, looks like some got lucky and made it past the system but for those who did not receive a confirmation number i think its pretty much hopeless...

the csr is not useful at all by any means

if anyone has any luck fighting the system, please let us know how to go about it as i was rejected like many others

Mine too say $519.96 on the total after discounts....so I don't know where you get the $509.96 from.

fitzm, those are the only two emails I received from them. I placed my order on Sat 18th around 12:40pm and received the conformation email from them about 1:30pm on the 18th as well. Then on the 22nd I received the last email from them stating my order has shipped the day before which was the 21st. So far I am pleased with my order process. I never had one problem placing the order as many have said they had trying to get passport to work and all that. I guess I was just very lucky so far.

Hope everyone else gets what they ordered or may so kinda special offer for getting shafted by MSN and PhotoAlley.

When I called them this morning (10am PT), they say they STILL have not complete their download of their orders from Saturday or my order didn't go through even though they gave me a confirmation number. WTF are they using to download??? 300 baud modem?? It's operator like these that gives Internet shopping it's bad name....

UPDATE: i wrote somewhere up there about questioning them about my nikon 950 which i ordered on 11/20.

"The customer support people told me to write this address and you would be
able to provide a definate arrival date for the nikon coolpix 950. Was
seeing if you could confirm that and give me a shipping date on when the
camera should arrive. Thanks."

that was friday the 24. i go to check my email just now, no shipping confirmation =( i click my order info and go to their site to see and it now says shipped! looks like they actually pulled through, going to call tomorrow to get a tracking number, ordered 2 day fed ex.
