Please don't flame me I know this may be offtopic but I do know there was some people having problems with their customer service. I finally got this number after calling them everyday after my Nov. 21st order for 2 Dimage 7s. I have finally got everything resolved but not without this number. I emailed them daily but with no response. Hopefully this number can help out who needs it. (973) 401-1400 ext 15.

Technically belongs in off-topic, but what the heck...

I normally don't post peoples' email addresses to honor their privacy, but for companies that SUCK I make an exception I was given bfreytag@photoalley.com as a contact; never used it, but it might help someone.

I finally managed to get my 2 Dimage 7s by appealing to their emotions a bit - told them by email that it was a 40th Anniversary present for my parents, which one of the cameras was. They finally released the order after that email, though it took repeated emails and calls. Never got beyond an outsourced 'supervisor' by phone; never got a callback from them.

On another recent order, I was told that they are 'unable' to call an authorization in to my credit card, due to the fact that their site is completely automated...that is why it is nearly impossible to get a human at PhotoAlley to do anything for us.

Oh and, thanks for the number.

I just don't know what happened to this company. Not that long ago, they were regarded as one of the absolute best places to buy camera equipment, particularly high-end gear. I myself have spent a couple thousand dollars with them over the years, and always had fantastic experiences (even with a couple returns).

Did this company get bought, or have a change in management?

I know that for about the past year, people have been getting nothing but crappy service.

Anyway, it's too bad, because this used to be such a fantastic company.

I am SO SICK of photoalley.

I ordered a $300 Olympus digital camera. I ordered the camera at 3pm on Dec 3rd. I cancelled the order later that same nite, and even though the order didn't ship for 4 days, they said I couldn't cancel the order on the first nite cause it was already past some process in their system, which is BS. I refused the package and they had it back to them on Dec 17th. Needless to say I am still sitting with this $300 charge on my AmEx Blue account. They won't seem to take it off. I called AMEx and disputed the charge and they opened some claim, but apparently they don't take it off your account until the merchant does, unlike most other credit cards.

Anyway, 6 weeks later and still no credit. I have Photoalley and will tell everyone.
