Yeah I don't really see anything wrong with that. Must have been very uncomfortable though.

With the way our government works now (*cough*clintonbombingtogettheheatoffhisback*cough*), if you're a "suspect" that means that they have proof that you're guilty but haven't taken you through the court system to make it official.

If they're suspected terrorists, who the bloody fsck cares what happens to them? I sure as hell don't.

I really don't get what people are upset about. Do they expect us to bring these dickheads to Guantanamo via British Airways first class, drinking champagne and watching ConAir? They are fvcking terrorists, the same people who, as soon as they got the chance, grabbed AKs and started shooting up a prison camp. Remember that??

And the problem is? Hell if I were in charge I would have tied their hands, feet, etc.. but not secured them to the plane. Then there would have been an "accidental" decompresion of the main cabin while at about 35,000 feet.

That doesn't really look all that bad to me. That isn't much different from the way they handle especially dangerous regular prisoners. We also don't know what the situation is, and how long they were kept like that. If they kept them chained up like that for say 24 hours or something that could be a problem. As a security measure on the flight to Gitmo, it does not seem unreasonable. If one of those prisoners got loose on a plane you could have chaos. It kind of surprises me that on a prisoner transport flight I am seing so many people with loaded weapons around. That isn't SOP for MPs.

You do have to remember that these were SUSPECTED terrorists. Camp X-Ray has started sending people back to thier home countries that were deemed to not be a threat/not be terrorists etc. so at least some of them were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

It must have been interesting being the loadmaster on that flight.

And of what value are a bunch of dead prisoners?? I never heard of a dead person divulging usefull intel? I would much rather have hundreds of live and healthy Al Qaeda and Taliban that I could interrogate than simple killing them all for spite.

i'm sad to see that they were not rubbing pig intestines on them inflight. Ah well. Keep in mind that those people attempted to kill american citizens. I bet you would have treated them the same way, knowing that if they had a gun they'd shoot you on the spot.

Torture is also not a very good way to get reliable information. Mild sleep deprivation, rigid control over the persons environment and routine, and repeated intensive questioning without physical force will eventually make anyone talk. Again, I think you are talking out of spite rather than sound intelligence gathering tactics.

This is why I am glad the war isn't being run by people with the mentality of a vengeful 2 year old. Yes, please do look at the bigger picture.

By the way, whoever took that f%^$* picture and gave it to Art Bell should be brought up before a court martial.
