Photos: The Lunar Eclipse Through My Telescope

Tonight I'm going to follow and photography the lunar eclipse and post photos live as they happen here in this thread.

First, I will post my equipment and photos of it. I will then proceed outside and take the first photo.

Telescope: Televue 76 APO Refractor Telescope
Camera: Canon T1i
Mount: Vixen PortaMount II

Outside I go to take the first photo!

I got an old 4.5 aperture Meade reflector pointed at it right now. No way to take photos though. Still waiting.. it's very cloudy but there are constant breaks in the clouds.

12:30 PM CST I need to adjust the focus a bit. New photos about every 15 minutes.

There's a huge storm here in LA so not going to be able to see it which sucks as I was planning on catching it.

A few thin clouds here in Santa Fe, NM. Lots of ice crystals high in the atmosphere though, so it has a halo.

When it goes to totality, there will be no light hitting it, so a picture is impossible?

Moon is getting significantly darker so I'm having to adjust which settings are and are not "dark" or "bright."

Thanks. Funny thing is, I'm getting a telescope this January (long story, but I cannot get it until then) that would have made this WAY better. It's a Televue-102iis, which has a longer focal length, which would make it way better for moon photography. Sucks, but oh well.
