php question

When I use php to send email, it shows

"Warning: Failed to Connect in StaffControl.php on line 131"

I think may be I did not link the sendmail application to my php...

can anyone tell me how to solve it?

It would help if you could show us line 131 of your code. Can't help you if we don't know where the problem is. Also, what operating system are you running the webserver on? Windows or Linux?? What webserver software are you using? Apache or IIS? The more information, the better.

The code for line 131 is
if (mail("stanley818@yahoo.com", "Title", "This is the body of the email", "From: stanley818@hotmail.com"))

I am running it under Windows in Apache server.

You need to change the mail directives in your config file. More info here.

You need to make some changes in your PHP.INI file. Open up the file and look for the [mail function] section and edit the following line:

SMTP = your.smtp.server.address.goes.here
