There is no way they could convert that deflector shield to send a reversed tacion particle burst. Those naccell engines would never be capable of doing anything close to warp 5. If that Enterprise were to be caught in a temporal nexus, causing them to shift between parallel universes. They would need to enhance the shields on a sub atomic level just to keep the ship safe from a inevitable warp core breach.
