Reading through those comments is hilaroius. I mean, I'm not a Trekkie but I've always enjoyed watching the old series, and this thing looks almost exactly the same save some cosmetic changes. So the dish thing sticks out more, who cares?

I'm not a Trekkie at all, though I did enjoy the movies... but I'm pretty sure I'd classify the Enterprise as ugly as sin, period. No version ever looked appealing as a space ship, and I bet they would have loved to make a different design, but were stuck to making the Enterprise look like the old design. And bummer.
We'll never make a spaceship look that terrible. At least I'd hope not. I'm hoping we'd make something more along the lines of the Battlestar Galactica. Now that is a cool ship.

I think it looks cool. You have the saucer section being pretty much the same as the original, with a little streamlining of the rest to look like an early version of what they've done with the Enterprise E.
