its been tried it doesnt get results. Why would you advise giving the woman the power in the situation. That just sseems like poor advice. The guy should always be the one in control. Also i guess it depends how you met them. If I go out tonight and get a dozen numbers. I can probably get 50% of them to meet me out. If I go out and give my number to a dozen girls I'll be lucky if 1 calls. Hot women have tons of options they dont need to call anybody they are probably seeing 4-5 guys already. I'm talking about girls that are 8-10+ on the hotness scale. I sat and watched girls pretend to put guys numbers in their phone or take a piece of paper with a guys number and toss it in the trash..hundreds of times. This is why girls when asked for their number by a lame ass always like to say give me yours and I'll call you. You're probably looking for girls in different places than I am. If you're going to a club or a bar where some hot chick isn't with a dude, then yeah she's going to get a lot of attention. You're not going to get a sniff and it's pointless.
But if you meet them at their place of work, hanging out with a small group, basically some place where their guard isn't up and especially if they aren't enjoying what they're doing and you can be seen as a momentary escape from it, then you'll have better success. I also give them my number on my card proving I have a good job, which helps. I'm generally witty, so that also helps. In this technique, you're really not giving them the power here. If you are so direct then they know they can string you along. If you are assertive but play a little coy then it can work wonders.
Of course, maybe I'm exceptionally good looking and charismatic. Maybe the type of women I look for is vastly different than yours.

I'm talking about cold approaches. At least where I live, if you are not in college you can meet hotties in two places consistently.......the mall and out at a bar/club/lounge.
not to burst your bubble but handing someone a business card is pretty impersonal IMO. Not to mention it doesnt prove anything about your job.....any douchebag can goto kinkos and get a business card.
try this next time: "Hey I really enjoyed talking to you lets continue this sometime"(take out piece of paper/napkin write your number on it and give it to her) "here's my number whats yours ?" (write down her number on the other piece of paper) Much more authentic IMO. Now in this case if she doesnt call you in a couple of weeks AT LEAST you have the option to call her.

Err. To clarify, I give her my business card and then write my cell phone number on it. Just handing out a card would be impersonal. And if she knows you have her number she definitely won't call you. I have done this successfully cold.
