I feel sorry for you people that were teenagers or in your twenties in the 80's, you dressed so horribly and those pictures prove it.
Remember when people could smoke on airplanes? I think that might still be possible in Europe but not over here.
Thank god that's not true at all. Porn is slightly more accessible.
God that was the worst. nothing sucked more than to be one row up from the "smoking section" and have some asshat chain smoking behind you and having that cloud billow over the seat and into your face.

The latter. People weren't such pussies like they are today.
So glad the 80s are done. No smartphones, tablets, internet and extremely primitive PCs..very boring times. I remember days when I was going out of my mind with boredom as a kid growing up in a small town.
I remember "fondly" walking around malls in the 80's and my eyes hurting afterward from the smoke. Fun times.
EDIT: No excuse for that hair. I'm happy to say the hair styles of today, mainly, will look fine in 50 years or a hundred. 80's just had stupid ass hair.
I recall flying on smoking planes. Filthy fucking habit. I wonder what similar thing we do today that we can look back with derision in 20 years from now.
And man, the lack of fatties is breathtaking. Of course, these pictures are selected.

Outdoor malls don't have to worry about keeping all that floor mopped.
A lot of those 80's people look like hipsters.
We were hipsters before hipsters thought of being hipsters.
Or air conditioning, or roof leaks, or lighting...there's a reason they're making shopping centers all outdoors now.
On a side note, has anyone ever been to Easton Town Center near Columbus OH? It's a freakin' outdoor mall the size of a small city! You could spend 3 days there and not hit all the stores. I'm amazed all those places can stay open.
I loved the place because, being a car guy, I saw more Ferraris, Lambos, and Porsches than the last season of Top Gear

We were hipsters before it was cool / uncool? (depending on who you ask)
