If he's an asset to a team and wouldn't hinder a team, then I don't see why anyone would say he should retire. He's in the best position to say when enough is enough, not anyone else, and I don't think that he would still play if he was hurting a teams chance of winning. I mean last year for the jets he didn't do all that bad, not any worse than pennington would have done.

I've had injuries similar to that in the Army and still rucked up and marched 15 miles with legs that looked like that.

I've known guys with injuries like those in the Army who still performed their job regardless of the pain and sacrifice. "So what?!", you might be inclined to say. The difference is, they don't get paid millions of dollars and have a private doctor on hand to nurse them back to health. They get the finest government healthcare taxpayer dollars can provide.
