I'll never tell .

About the videocards, yes he has a huge amount of them laying around, most have the heatsinks pulled off them as soon as they come out of the box so he can add his cooling. I took someone from Anandtech over to his place years ago when he had like 1/4 of this laying around and the guy from here said "he has like $400 worth of heatsinks in his closet"

I'm actually buying that Dell monitor in the pictures next week so I'll bring my camera over and see if I can get better pictures. I just wish I was more up to date on what all that stuff even was. He always hands me stuff and I just stare and nod my head cause I'm not even sure how good it is.

The other monitor is a apple cinema display hooked up to a mac mini I think.

Not at all. The legend never dies.

Those crystals could punch through the worst QRM and you'd still get the long shots. Ceramics held up better especially in the humidity but it always needed some post processing (EQ) to mellow out the bassy overtones. Condensers and electrets have taken over obviously and replicas exist with them in the "lollipop" heads, but the four wire TUG-8 will always live forever.

Wow... I just really don't see the need, but whatever floats his boat. If I had enough money to throw at it I'd probably have at most a dual 8800 rig, nothing like that however... too much work & too little time to enjoy it imo.

I only had ceramics on ham radio. Crystals on CB (children's band).

You NEED the punch to get through all that skip on 11 meter citizen band radio.
