question, where did u run the cable that connects the case rest/power buttons to the mobo. is it just along the back of the main power cable and zip tied to it. hard to see the thing.

Now add 5 more hard drives, a 2nd video card, a floppy drive, and two rear brackets for USB and Firewire and see how it looks. I need to take some update pics of mine, but the darn thing is so heavy, I don't want to move it.

I was doing fine on cables until I put in the slot adapters for rear usb, firewire, and diagnostics. I don't really need any of that crap, might remove it.

SLI, 6 hard drives, a floppy, 2 optical drives, audigy 2, and the two rear slot adapters = A LOT of cables to deal with.

get rid of those plug ins and get one pci card that does extra usb2/firewire and you will be much happier.

Nice job dynamix! Except, I really don'y understand what people say about it being heavy.. I mean, as in difficult to lift or just having weight? everything has weight, but I've noticed nothing apprceable from mine..

 Awesome wiring job! I was wondering how you hidden the front panel wires and later read you eliminated the audio ones. The wiring job on my wife's Centurion 5 is as clean since the front panel inputs are on the bottom of the case. As for my P160....that is another matter .

my p180 has teh worst wireign job ever... i have a ASRock mobo w/ teh power connector WAY up top and a Thermaltake power supply w/ cables that are JUST long enough to reach... ill take a pic in a minute of it.

Been looking at this thread for a while and its fantastic to see the case progress, top job - well done!

... you inspired me to rewire my P180, but that wasnt gd enough so i did it again

One thing though, for some reason i have to have the front panel audio connecter connected to my mobo, or i get no sound, which is really frustrating as i have to route the wire right over the graphics card and over the motherboard, which is kinda annoying when everything else is nicely tucked away.

( I dont have a sound card :'( , and the mobo is an Asus A8N-Sli Deluxe).

Cheers,
And top job again!

Hey guys, from what I've seen in this thread I really wanna get myself one of these p180s!

Just a question, would you prefer this case to a Thermaltake Kandalf (the Kandalf is a lot more expensive here) and which looks better the silver or black p180?

Thanks and congrats on all the great wiring jobs!

that wiring is making me jealous, i though it did a good job but i have at least some cables that show, can a job like this be done in a normal case? to make it harder, my 9NPA ultra has the 24pin power cable in a wierd place.

This is a perfect example. It goes to show that you can have very good overclocks on passive as long as you pair efficient heatsink it with a good case. The two 120 case fans are right there near the scythe ninja and the asus northbridge heatpipe to the back case fan is another excellent design.

Nice job.

The plastic is not flimsy. The front door is flimsy. It is the only thing about the case that I do not like, it feels light-weight, and cheap, and to make it worse, the magnets that are used to secure it are weak too. Aside from that small issue, however, the case is incredibly well built, and has incredible cooling potential at a low dB.

VERY nice looking man. I am thinking of the same case and this all but finalizes my decision. I have an XP120 I will probably be using in there, and if not, may go with that same Zalman cooler. Is there a front intake fan on that case? What is your fan layout?

Any advice?

this is going to be my new case, my friend has it for $135 no shipping... i hear an 4400x2 in my future... 10/10...

that is the way I am going.

The only thing I have noticed about this setup that I may change is the location of the hard drives. WOuldn't it be better to put the HDDs in the lower compartment to keep their heat away from the mobo area?

Hi,

I'm about to build a system using this case and would like to see the pictures.
However dynamix' website seems to be down.

Did anyone download/save the pictures and if so can you post them again ?

Thanks,
/Niels

How do you get the 12V CPU cable behind the motherboard? The one from my NeoHE 550 is too short so I bought an extender but it looks like it will be too fat to sit underneath the motherboard.

Well I have my setup running very much like Dynamix. Just got it going last night. My 4pin was just too short to go under the MB but I went under the vid cards instead. Doesn't look that bad. Need some advice though. I have an Abit KN8 board and I don't think my NB heatsink is getting enough air. Started getting some artifacts while running P95. Only hitting 46C max. Should I just up the flows of my fans(running low right now) or move one of the 120s and mount it to the Ninja, or reverse the flow of the top fan? Think I'll take the upper 120 and mount it on the ninja and see what that does. I'll post back.

Well, I think reversing the top fan worked the best. Raising fans to med did very little. Tried mounting the 120 to the Ninja but was having difficulties. Not enough sleep I guess. So I reversed the top fan. Dropped CPU temp by 10C. Previously had to add .1v to my 148 Opty to get it from 2.6 to 2.8 but this time around I think I'll leave it at 2.6 at stock vcore. Been Priming for 4 hours and temp has topped out at 41C. I am really liking the quiet. Fans are still at medium but I may drop them back to low just to see how it does.

Dynamix3D, I tried to mirror your cabling but fell a bit short. Still came out OK but yours is def top notch.

Last update, had to ditch the Sythe. With the new case and the way the ninja is cooled, the passive NB cooler wasn't getting cooled enough. Maybe with all fans on high it would have worked but that would defeat the point of the Ninja. I put my XP90 back on and with all fans at low speed and my Zalman CPU fan at 60% all is well. Even at 45% fan speed the NB starts giving me problems.

So if your are looking at the P180 and Sythe Ninja and have the Abit KN8, watch out.

Wow, I haven't been following this thread for a long time now. I logged in yesterday and notice its still getting alot of attention. Well to all the fans of my setup, I am sorry to announce it is changing a lil bit as of tomorrow. I have gotten a few upgrades, and of course once it is all set up I will have new pics for everyone to view.

Also I am sorry that most of my pics aren't working. My hosting expired from my website and I didn't feel like renewing it cause I barely use it, besides uploading a few files here and there.

Anyway for the people interested I will be upgrading to the following hardware:

-AMD 64 X2 3800+
-Asus A8N32-SLI motherboard
-Zalman CPNS9500 heatsink
-7800GTX with NV Silencer 5 Rev.3
-Raptor 150GB
-OCZ Gold 2GB RAM

Everything else will remain the same for now... Anyway check back later this week for new pics
