Great job again Dynamix; it has been interesting to see the system evolve as you've added or swapped components. It's been interesting trying to figure out how you've routed your cables.

Now you'll be upgrading to the 550W Antec and that means re-wiring and re-sleeving again ??? I don't have your patience !!!

But please continue to post pics.

would it be easy to mod a windowed side panel for that? otherwise it looks like an awesome case design.

Anyway here is some pics I took of my case for now, I might take some better ones tomorrow. Cable management in this case is harder than I had even imagined. It took me forever to get everything set up perfectly how I want it. I got almost no wires showing now, and it looks excellent!

Otis, I'll answer for dynamix since you obviously haven't been following this thread. If you read this thread from the beginning you will see that his project has been a continuosly evolving one. Dynamix is not even using the Zalman 7000 series cooler for his CPU anymore; he now uses a Scythe Ninja in fanless mode.

That question has been answered a couple of pages back in this thread. Performance PCs sells a windowed version of the P180 here but it is not cheap.

initially, it was to see if you could show me your work on a loaded p180 -- but what's the fun in just saying that? now, it's to say that no one can make that case look neat with all the hardware i mentioned. we both know you can [and will do] a good job. at most, that is as you said, a "good wiring job" -- your "best wiring job that you could possibly do to have it nice and neat." there's this incredibly amazing programmer at my work -- very smart. but he can't speak english for crap. how about i tell him to write me the best english essay that he could possibly do.

no offense d-man. it was mostly just to egg you a bit. i was just horsing around. if you found it funny, or at least wondered if it might've been funny, that's a bonus. i didn't mean to be so crafty as to hit a nerve.

sorry no pictures, i don't own the case. i am one of many [cheapskates] who simply want it. you did such a neat job i vacariously fell in love. just that the lack of peripherals didn't do me in head over heels. and when you're young... what's falling in love if it ain't swept off your feet and fall head over heels in love?

i wasn't comparing your case to anything... but i do have that image in my head. when you suggested that i buy you the parts so i can see how good of a job you can do with the p180... that was to be funny, right? after all, the biggest perk of getting the p180 is that you get to build it yourself.

i wasn't trying to make you look stupid. we can all do that well enough on our own . with respect, there will be nothing further from me. i hold my peace

Thats welcome news!!
For a bit I was beginning to think backlti was some troll who was just jealous of the work that Dynamix had done!!

Also notice he posted no pix`s of his rig...lololol.....

Its always easier to criticize when you don`t have to present facts or pictures to substantiate your criticizm!!

Keep up the nice work Dynamix!!

Jedi, I already answered otis's question; dynamix3D is no longer even using the Zalman to cool his CPU; he's using a Scythe Ninja in fanless mode. See his latest pics a few pages back.

Okay well after all that bitching, I managed to get the power supply untangled without ripping the seal on the case to the power supply, so my warranty won't be voided. I got all the cables to come out neatly, and in a straight forward fashion like how it should be. I installed it into my system today and it came out pretty good. Not as good as my old Coolermaster since the cables are shorter, and aren't sleeved either. I decided to ditch the sleeving idea cause its too much work, and I really don't feel like doing it. It was enough work untangling all the wires, so I decided to leave the wires unsleeved.

Anyway here is a picture of how it looks installed in my system.
Antec P180 with TruePower-II 550W installed...

The 4 pin motherboard connector wasn't long enough to hide behind the motherboard. That really is the only thing I wish I could change. Everything else is fine with me though. If only that cable was about 2" longer, I coulda got it under the motherboard.

Have you thought of using one of the cable extension kits like this silverstone ??? This would give you the extra 2" you need. Also, for less money, NewEgg carries the Athena brand of P/S and 12V extenders SEPERATELY so you only have to purchase one of the other if you don't need to purchase both. I can't link to NewEgg right now because their server is under routine maintainance.

Also, can you provide us with lots MORE pics of the case from the various angles and such as you have in previous posts ???

Hey Dynamix, why'd you switch the power supply from the Coolermaster to the Antec?

And you mentioned something about bitching? Did I miss a chunk of the thread, entirely? It seems to be misbehaving at the moment.. only getting 5 pages as opposed to 11 or 12 from yesterday.

Hey I went ahead and ordered that Athena 12v extension. Since I didn't really need the ATX 24pin extension, I decided not to get the Silverstone, even though its nicer since it has black connectors.

And I guess if you want more pics, I can take some later on, or I can just take them after I install the 12v extension.

I switched because I needed a PSU to support my future 7800GTX SLI Setup. And since the Antec was on Sale I decided to get it now. I got it for $79.99 shipped AR.

And you didn't miss anything in this forum. I posted in the General Hardware forums about the Antec, and how pissed I was that the cables were all tangled.

This is a link to the forum if you wanna read it.

I notice alot of people need help, and are PMing me with all kinds of questions. To make things easier just PM me with your AIM, Yahoo, or MSN name, and I can contact you on there. It makes it easier to explain, rather than typing out a whole long msg in PM's.

Hey Dynamix I replied to your "Messy cable thread" and know it is too late since you went with the TPII, but maybe for future reference.

I'm glad you ordered the Athena 12V extender and I hope it works well for you.

And YES, please post more detailed pics from ALL angles AFTER you received and install the Athena 12V extender. THANKS !!!
