for temps, i get $35 idle and 47-ish load when i run my cpu fan at normal speeds. when i'm not gaming, i just run it at the slowest speed, so it idles at 45 and such. its also oc'd. as for it being a performer, yes it absolutely is. open airflow design with great looks make it a great bang for the buck when it comes to cooling. my rig is pretty damn quiet with all the zalman cooling devices.

As you can see in the last pic, I concealed the optical drive bay using the meshed bezel that the case came with. Though this bezel was screwed into the case initially, that means there were metal straps that were attached to it. Well, its nothing a dremel cant cure. Since the bezel is meshed, using double sided tape directly is a no-no since it totally shows from the outside. What I had to do was use a strong glue stick and glue black card board to the inside part of the bezel. then i used double sided tape to tape the bezel to the drive bay. it took me a little bit of time, but i finally got it all ok. SInce the bezel is meshed, it's really easy to bend, so becareful of that if you attempt to cut it. After i got the end-sides all cut off and ready, i had to hammer the top and bottom down a little bit so that it wouldnt be so tight into the drive bay when it closes.

I cant hear it at all. The only thing making any audible noise in my case is the cpu cooler, which is still very quiet. i cant argue with that . But yea, i like the Zalman VF700 cooler a lot. you should give it a try.

no foam. its standing on 4 rubber grommets which come with it. idle whine? nope. not at all. just seek noise whenever its...well...seeking.

The only problem with it is the motherboard. Strike #1: Its ECS, Strike #2: Its SIS Strike #3 Its purple. Unfortunatly that gets you a 6.

If you havent thought about it yet I would look at getting a new board. Because that one is just plain hideous. However in terms of asthetics surrounding the case, you have done a damn fine job. Ie, it should be a 9 or a 10, but that mobo....<shudder>
