PICTARS!! Bug Sex and other super macros!

These were taken with my Sigma 10-20mm reverse mounted onto my Rebel XT. I just got my reverse mount in the mail today and I'm looking forward to seeing what else this setup can do

Magnification varied from around 3x (20mm) to 6x (10mm).

Have you tried to reverse mount the 50mm? I have that lense, and might look into a cheap way to do simple macros.

Yup, reverse mounted the 50mm before. The pics are super sharp, BUT it's not truly 1:1 macro. I think it falls around only 0.5x magnification.

I have a bunch more but they're not worth uploading. Nice pics btw. I've never had too much success with reversing lenses...the working distance is too short for bugs imo.

Well, 0.5x ain't that bad. Might give it a try.

I'd try with my Sigma 24-70mm if only the filter size were smaller. I've yet to find an adapter for the 82mmm thread.

As for the 82mm thread, you probably need to fiddling around with step down rings.
