I wanted to ask you about your opinion how to mount 3 drives to have less heat (if it really matters) As you can see it's tight so I can only play with order, I mean which drive at the bottom which in the middle and which at the top. Right Now I have Raptor 150GB on the bottom, Seagate 120GB in the middle and Seagate 320GB at the top. DO you think it's okay or should I change th order or it really doesn't matter .

Have you sat down for a while and actually tried to organize? I left my rig like that too saying it was too hard or impossible to clean up the clutter but I figured I had nothing to lose by dedicating a few hours (Yes thats correct, a few hours) to tidy it up. Came out good. Also dont worry about the Seagates getting too hot, mines in a very secluded spot with no airflow and it is around 34-35 constant. My raptor can get hot though, my advice, take it all apart (everything as it is stated in the cable management guide stickied here0, get tie-wraps, zip-ties from your local hardware store and get to work and than post up some After pics .

It will take some practice to find those niche places to hide the cables in but dont give up. Take the left panel off as well (from your case it seems you have removable MB trays so should be easier to work with), which LL is that? I've got a PC60BPlus II on the way and my pics will be up soon after.

I've added YL 120mm intake and top exhaust case fans for extra cooling on my LLs. I like your case since I have 3, you can't do better.
My wiring is somehat mediorce but my temps are great yet. I switched out my old fans with 80mm and 120mm YLs. Jab-Tech has excellent pricing.

Since my PC-60s are desktop cases, I prefer to keep them that way, not on floors where the incidence of dust buildup is not condusive for keeping one's case cool.

The side intake really cools your GPU and chipset and the top exhaust vents the collected hot air. I also use a slot fan to help venting exhaust to rear.

All these fans are very inexpensive and very helpful to cool any rig. I use a 110mm hole saw and 120mm aluminum metal mesh filters too. You will notice the better temps.

Looks like a Lian Li... :disgust:

If it was me, I'd buy another case and use it for a file server. Simply access your drives across a network connection...

dude, you really really need to do some cable management. i'd possibly get a bigger case. you've go to get rid of all those wires. perhaps put the drive in a 5.25" with an adaptor to aviode more heat build up.

Yeah, just try to minimize the cable clutter directly behind the drives and then check the drive temps with one of the software tools available. All it takes is a bit of air flow across the drives to keep them happy. but as the Raptor is likely to be the warmest, I'd put that on top and I'd put the 320 on the bottom.

if you mount one of the drives in the empty drive bay, and use some thermal
grease to improve the heat conduction, the drive bay will make a decent heat sink.

this would also improve the airflow for the 2 drives left in the bottom section.

i don't see whats wrong with mounting in the hdd bracket? thats where i mount all my hdd's in my case, and theres a 120mm intake there so it should be fine
