I don't know why I can't find much information on this on the web. I seem to be the only one on earth who has this reoccurring problem.
I work on websites infrequently, but do it for my school since I (pathetically) am the best one there at webdesign.
However, I always seem to run into a problem with the pictures I insert in my webdesigns not showing up when I publish.
The current website, I first made with MS Word. Then, since I was having technical issues with it, I switched to FRONT PAGE (all the advice I kept getting when I asked for help with my WORD website was, why don't you just use FRONT PAGE?)
Anyway, with Word, pictures were created in separate folders. WIth FROntpage, they are supposed to be imbedded.
I was making some changes to our homepage (trying to change the pictures), and since then, after publishing, the pictures and school logo don't work. They are not in the index folder, and FRont page never prompts me whether or not I want to embed the pictures which is what the help files says that Front page will do.
I am not just cutting and pasting pictures either. I go through the insert picture from file option under edit.
Anybody know what the hell I'm doing wrong? I don't want to have to go back to MS Word to get these pictures to work.
