They have always sucked. They've always been campy B movies but have a big cult following that spread into popular culture.

If they had some semblance of a plot for once which could make us temporarily forget that there's no way that Bond will die and no way that the world will explode, we might have ourselves a movie. I think Moonraker was the last legitmately good Bond film made (well, if it came after Goldfinger).

Cut the overload on gadgets that substitute for plot or character development. Bond should sneak and kill with a pistol or sniper rifle far more than with an assault rifle, IMO. More tension and drama, less effects.

Bring back S.P.E.C.T.R.E.

Let's see some real gore. Nudity too.

I rem reading a while ago how Tarantino really wanted to do a bond film. He said something like, "Let me do a bond film, then you'll really see something amazing."

Also, Brosnan wasn't that great, but maybe it's cause I didnt enjoy the movies. Kind of how Batman 3 & 4(Schumancher) ruined any chance of Kilmer/Clooney doing well.

Yes, Clive Owen is awesome. He has the look although I'd say Pierce Brosnan had the better bond look.
